Assistant Chief Aaron Jennings

Assistant Chief Jennings graduated from Big Walnut High School, in Delaware County, in 1994. Shortly after graduation he began his career in public safety as a firefighter with the BST&G Fire Department, in Sunbury, Ohio. Aaron continued to gain experience in public safety as a dispatcher with the Delaware City Police Department and later as a Communications Specialist with MedFlight.

In 2002 Aaron joined the Delaware City Fire Department and served in many different roles including training, risk reduction, and fire investigations. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in August of 2013. Aaron joined Delaware County EMS in May 2015 as the Administrative Captain. In Octobor 2016, Aaron was promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief.

Assistant Chief Jennings is certified by the State of Ohio as a Firefighter II, Paramedic, EMS Instructor, and Fire Inspector. He is also a Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) through the The Board for Critical Care Transport Certification.
